About Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) was a British Indian polymath. He worked as a poet writer playwright composer philosopher and social reformer. Tagore reshaped Bengali literature and music. He also influenced Indian art. He was the author of the poetry collection Gitanjali. In 1913, Tagore became the first non-European Nobel laureate in Literature. His legacy includes founding Visva-Bharati University.
