Henry Van Dyke (1852–1933) was an American author, educator, and clergyman. He served as a professor of English literature at Princeton University and was a Presbyterian minister. Van Dyke’s literary works, including “The Story of the Other Wise Man” and his hymn “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee,” reflect his deep faith and appreciation for nature.
